Measure once.
Confirm the details.
The window shutter calculator uses the finished panel’s overall height and width, including its frame. It accepts heights from 900 to 2400 mm and widths from 300 to 1500 mm.
Start with the intended installation
- Decide whether the panel will sit within an opening or beside the window. Photograph the location and note obstructions, handles, trim and fixing surfaces.
- Measure the opening at several points. Record the dimensions in millimetres and identify them as opening sizes, rather than assuming they are finished panel sizes.
- Confirm the required installation clearances and finished panel dimensions with the workshop or installer before ordering. The calculator does not automatically deduct a fitting allowance.
- Enter the finished overall panel dimensions and quantity. Select your timber preference and include installation details in the enquiry.
Frame and blade sizes
Window shutter panels use a 42 × 35 mm frame section and 32 × 9 mm timber slats permanently fixed at 45 degrees. Slat spacing and count vary by panel. Certain heights will need a bearer through the centre; its position is confirmed during project review.
How in-between sizes are priced
Each dimension rounds up independently to the next listed price band. A 1481 mm high × 579 mm wide panel uses the 1500 × 600 mm price band. Its Treated Pine estimate is $587.65 including GST, while the panel dimensions remain 1481 × 579 mm.
The calculator provides an indicative material preview. It is not a fabrication drawing or a guarantee of exact grain, colour, spacing or bearer placement.
